Job description

G5 Games is a mobile game developer and publisher headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with 850+ professionals working remotely or across our 10 locations. Founded more than 20 years ago, we were among the world's first mobile game developers. Our titles — Sherlock, Hidden City®, Mahjong Journey®, The Secret Society®, the Jewels series and others — are played by 250 million people worldwide.

We're looking for an Ad Monetization Manager to own ad revenue across two fronts: scaling ad monetization in our core portfolio titles, and building hybrid monetization (ads + IAP) for our new hybridcasual projects, where advertising is the primary driver of traffic payback.

What you will work on:

  • Own ad revenue performance across assigned titles: ad ARPDAU, eCPM by geo and format, impressions/DAU, fill rate
  • Run mediation end to end: bidding and waterfall setup and optimization, network onboarding and rotation, diagnosing drops
  • Design the ad experience together with product teams: placements, frequency, formats, integrating rewarded video into core game loops
  • Build and defend A/B tests, evaluating impact on retention and IAP - not ad ARPDAU in isolation
  • On hybridcasual projects: connect ad LTV to user acquisition - payback modelling, signals passed back to networks, segmentation by predicted value
  • Manage relationships with ad network partners: terms, priority access to betas and new formats
  • Report clearly and regularly, translating numbers into decisions for product teams, UA and management

What We Expect:

  • 3+ years in ad monetization for mobile games or apps, with genuine hands-on access to mediation — not working through an analyst or a developer
  • Experience working inside a game product team (embedded with product, analytics and engineering on a live title), not only in a central or purely commercial function
  • Hands-on with at least one major mediation platform: AppLovin MAX, LevelPlay/ironSource, Google AdMob / Ad Manager — and a practical understanding of how bidding differs from waterfall
  • Experience with hybrid monetization and a clear view of where ads compete with IAP
  • Ability to read data independently: BI and analytical dashboards
  • Comfortable reading ad network technical documentation (SDK and API) and writing clear requirements for engineers
  • Upper-Intermediate English or above
  • Structured, self-directed, and willing to defend decisions with numbers

Would Be a Plus:

  • Experience on the ad network or mediation platform side (Unity Ads, AppLovin, ironSource, Google or similar)
  • Background in hybridcasual or hypercasual titles
  • Understanding of how ad revenue feeds into UA payback models (ROAS, SKAN, AEM)
  • Experience in casual IAP-driven games — ideally alongside hybridcasual exposure
  • The opportunity to bring your ideas to life in an international company with a multimillion audience: G5 games are played by 250 million users worldwide;
  • Official employment in one of our locations or remotely under a contract;
  • Assistance with relocation that helps move to one of the countries where the company has offices: Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Malta, or Montenegro;
  • Maintaining a work-life balance of employees: remote work and flexible hours, sports reimbursement, and health insurance payment;
  • Charitable activities: you can initiate your own project with the company's support or participate in G5 Charity events;
  • Opportunities for professional development: access to resources for creating your own projects within R&D, an internal educational platform, and training webinars covering various specialties;
  • Bonus system: project profit bonus for project teams and a performance share program for key employees;
  • Language courses: free English lessons, speaking clubs for all proficiency levels, and free study language of the country of relocation;
  • Entertainment: corporate events and team buildings, master classes for adults and children, webinars with guest speakers, coffee talks, quizzes, and contests.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible Work Conditions – Fully remote format with no office restrictions. Convenient flexible schedule and transparent processes.
  • Development & Learning – Internal education system that includes workshops, webinars, and hackathons. Compensation for English and other language courses.
  • Relocation Support – Financial assistance and guidance at every step, from choosing a country (where G5 has offices) to legalizing your entire family.
  • Health & Well-being – Medical insurance and reimbursement for gym memberships. Team sports initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Bonus Program – Performance-based bonuses upon meeting sales targets. For key employees—profit-sharing from stock value growth.
  • Expert Community – Work alongside top industry professionals. Grow in a dynamic and innovative environment.

We look forward to your application!
