G5 Games is a Swedish developer and publisher of mobile games played by over 250 million people worldwide. We create large-scale projects, such as SherlockHidden City®, and Jewels of Rome®, and continuously enhance their technical foundation.

We are expanding our New Game Research Team and looking for a Game Creative Designer — a creative professional who will help us generate and shape innovative game ideas for our future titles.

What You Will Work On:

  • Generate innovative and disruptive new game ideas with strong USPs based on player insights and market trends.
  • Analyze market trends and player behavior to propose data-driven game ideas that stand out in the casual market.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and art teams to define a game’s core experience and positioning.
  • Create game design-documentation for concepts and materials for Player Research.
  • Prepare briefs and tasks for creatives used in testing (Player Research, Marketability Tests).
  • Review analytics and player feedback to improve concept performance and engagement.

What We Expect:

  • 4+ years of experience in the game industry (casual, hypercasual, or mid-core).
  • Native or bilingual English proficiency (C2+).
  • Strong understanding of core loops, resource cycles, and system mechanics.
  • Understanding of mobile gaming market trends, player preferences, and what differentiates key competitors in the casual/hypercasual puzzle segments.
  • Ability to identify USPs and communicate them effectively to different audiences.
  • Analytical mindset, able to turn insights into data-driven design decisions
  • Understanding of player psychology, motivations and cultural nuances in Tier-1 and Tier-2 markets.
  • Understanding of the principles and processes involved in creating free-to-play mobile games.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills across multiple departments.
  • Strong presentation skills to defend your ideas.
  • Passion for games and curiosity for what makes them succeed.

Would Be a Plus:

  • Experience working at successful mobile game studios.
  • Familiarity with Figma and AI-assisted creative tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Krea).
  • Basic Photoshop or Visio skills, ability to sketch and create game loops and UI schemes.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
