Lead Game Creative 2D Artist (Match-3 project)

Cyprus, Limassol

Job description

G5 Games is a Swedish developer and publisher of mobile games played by over 250 million people worldwide. Our hits, such as SherlockHidden City®, and Jewels of Rome®, rank among the top charts and continue to grow. We believe that strong leaders create strong teams — they are the ones who drive projects forward and help achieve new heights.

We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Game Creative 2D Artist (remote) who will define, maintain, and evolve the artistic style of the project, lead and mentor a team of artists, and ensure the visual quality of all assets in a casual style. If you value not just managing but inspiring and helping employees grow — we’d love to have you on our team!

What You Will Work On:

  • Formation, maintenance and development of the artistic style of the project.
  • Create concepts for new project features and rework existing ones in line with the project's vision.
  • Write feedback and monitor its implementation.
  • Cooperation with other departments.
  • Art quality control on the project.
  • Work in casual style.

What We Expect:

  • Gamedev experience at least 3 years.
  • High level of expertise in your specialization: You know what it means to work with idea generation, and regardless of the complexity of the task you can achieve a predictable result of high quality.
  • Excellent communication skills: you have to be able to express yourself clearly, both in written and oral forms.
  • Skills in managing a team of artists: the ability to set tasks and monitor their fulfillment.
  • Professional Photoshop skills.
  • Upper Intermediate Russian language.

Would Be a Plus:

  • Experience in teaching.
  • Familiarity with 3D.

We don’t expect you to know and be able to do everything equally well. First and foremost, the job of a Lead Game Creative 2D Artist is to develop and maintain the artistic style of the project, while bringing fresh ideas into it. To feel comfortable in this role, you should be a strong concept artist capable of setting and refining the benchmark quality of an asset when needed. You should also have a well-trained artistic eye, a genuine interest in the gaming market, and the ability to communicate effectively with professionals from various fields.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible Work Conditions – Fully remote format with no office restrictions. Convenient flexible schedule and transparent processes.
  • Development & Learning – Internal education system that includes workshops, webinars, and hackathons. Compensation for English and other language courses.
  • Relocation Support – Financial assistance and guidance at every step, from choosing a country (where G5 has offices) to legalizing your entire family.
  • Health & Well-being – Medical insurance and reimbursement for gym memberships. Team sports initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Bonus Program – Performance-based bonuses upon meeting sales targets. For key employees—profit-sharing from stock value growth.

We look forward to your application!
